2010-2011 Funding Allotment

The Education Foundation raised $36,000 for Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools in its first year. Funds were distributed as follows: $5,000 to the endowment fund, $30,000 as flow through funds and $1000 for administrative expenses.

Three alumni applications and sixteen school project applications were received. A scoring system was developed to ensure that funding went to projects that met the mandate of the Education Foundation.

Summary of Distribution

Alumni Projects:         All three alumni applications involved in international volunteer social justice projects - $500 was awarded to each.

Faith Scholarships:     Five $500 faith scholarships were awarded.

School Projects:          Sixteen school projects were awarded funding.
